Excerpt: "The report makes the case that the social, educational and economic ramifications of extending school to younger children would be overwhelmingly positive, with schools becoming invaluable hubs for communities and parents of young children. As an example, they point to Toronto’s Bruce Junior Public School, which was slated to close, but instead was turned into a pilot project combining parenting centres, child care and kindergarten under one roof. It’s an interesting position and one well worth exploring, though it’s easy to see some roadblocks on the horizon."
